Nvidia Corp. on Monday said that its multi-GPU SLI technology will work on select Intel P55-based platforms powered by Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processors (code-named Lynnfield). Traditionally Nvidia only allowed SLI to work on its own core-logic sets, but since the company cannot develop and sell chipsets compatible with Intel Corp.’s processors with integrated memory controller, the company has to enable SLI on Intel’s own chipsets.
