Embedded computer specialist GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms in Charlottesville, Va., is developing computer circuit board products based on the Freescale QorIQ embedded processor, company officials announced today.
GE Fanuc will offer Freescale’s advanced multicore QorIQ processors in forthcoming computer board products, officials say. QorIQ processors have as many as eight cores for maximum performance, and enable GE Fanuc to develop military embedded platforms that will be form-, fit- and function compatible with their predecessors.
