“For the coder who has everything…we just shipped the 1st release of Cilk++ for Linux!
Cilk++ is best suited for applications that meet the following criteria:
1. Application performance is compute bound
2. Performance can be improved by accelerating serial (i.e., single-threaded) portions of the application
3. The application is written in C or C++, and can be compiled with the GNU compiler
(Cilk++ is meant for multithreading purposes only. Void where prohibited. Some assembly required. Contents may settle during shipment. Use only as directed. Cilk++ is a choking hazard for children under 3. Do not use while operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment. This is not an offer to sell securities. Apply only to affected area.
