The Multicore Association, a global non-profit organization focused on developing standards that help speed time to market for products that involve multicore implementations, announced today that Samsung Electronics has joined the consortium as an executive board member. The Multicore Association is working to enable the widespread adoption of multicore processor-based implementations by setting standards for how systems will be utilized and programmed. As a provider of semiconductors, mobile phones, DTVs and many other consumer electronics products, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. will help the Multicore Association drive standards for deploying multicore solutions in the consumer electronics sector.
