At Supercomputing 2006 (SC06) Conference, there was a panel discussion about Multicore for HPC. Six panelists, including Thomas Sterling, Peter Kogge, Ken Kennedy, Steve Scott, Don Becker, and Bill Gropp, discussed the trends, problems, and possible solutions of multicore processors. I found the website while digging through my bookmarks. There are some superb recommendations that people are still either not following or ignoring.
